NETHERLANDS - SciFi NL http://www.sci-fi-tv.nl takes over the role of being the first Doctor Who broadcaster in this Western European country, with Series 3 airing weekly starting Tuesday, with various repeats during the week.
CANADA - CBC TV http://www.cbc.ca/television begins Series 4 this Friday the 19th. Episodes are 9PM all time zones (9:30PM Newfoundland). Voyage Of The Damned skipped. In the Central and Mountain Time Zones this broadcast overlaps with SPACE's http://www.spacecast.com airing of new Torchwood episodes. Neither station is doing a same week repeat. Satellite subscribers and at least some digital cable subscribers who want to watch both shows without taking the time to use a VCR/DVR/DVDR can catch CBC in another time zone to avoid the conflict. At the moment, CBC has Doctor Who listed for 13 consecutive weeks, which would mean that Series 4 finishes before Christmas. Time will tell.
UK - Sarah Jane Adventures now have a regular time slot for Series 2. BBC One Mondays at 4:35PM, CBBC Mondays at 5:15PM. CBBC will air episodes one week ahead of BBC One, except for the premiere (The Last Sontaran pt 1).
UK - You thought new Doctor Who in the UK was over till Christmas, right? Well, BBC7 http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7 and Big Finish http://www.doctorwho.co.uk are out to prove you wrong. Paul McGann returns as The 8th Doctor and Sheridan Smith returns as Lucy Miller in eight 50 minute full cast radio episodes - Sundays at 6PM and Midnight UK Time starting 19 October. Paul McGann played the Doctor in the 1996 TV Movie and in many Big Finish direct to cd audio stories since 2001. He is the official 8th Doctor, the link between Sylvester McCoy (7th Doctor in Classic Who - late 1980s) and Christopher Eccleston (9th Doctor/New Series 1/2005).

This is actually the second set of Paul McGann audios made for BBC7. An earlier set of 8 Paul McGann/Sheridan Smith episodes ran in late 2006/early 2007. That time the episodes aired on the radio before getting released on CD. For these new episodes the CD releases came first, which is why the radio run was delayed a bit. No word on whether the previous BBC7/Big Finish Doctor Who series is going to repeat soon.
NEW ZEALAND - Prime http://www.primetv.co.nz is reportedly going to air {s{JourneysEnd/1} and Journey's End as a double feature on Sunday 28 September. Unknown if the episodes will air as a movie or seperate. Unknown if the full 63 minute version of Journey's End will air. Hopefully more will come out by next week. Thanks to the New Zealand Doctor Who Fan Club http://nzdwfc.tetrap.com for the update.
AUSTRALIA - The SFSA http://www.sfsa.org.au has gotten word that Nickelodeon Australia has bought the first 2 series of The Sarah Jane Adventures. They report that more details will be in their newsletter The Wall Of Lies 14. At publication time Nickelodeon's website did not have information.
CANADA - BBC Kids http://www.bbckids.ca does not have Classic Doctor Who or the Sarah Jane Adventures in the fall 2008 schedule. This is the first time Doctor Who has been absent since the channel's launch in 2001. Hopefully we can get word from BBC Kids whether the shows will return in 2009. In particular - will BBC Kids air Sarah Jane Adventures Series 2? For now, Doctor Who and Sarah Jane air through at least the 14th of September ...
Torchwood schedule information is included in the Torchwood This Week column http://groups.yahoo.com/group/torchwood . Of note - the radio episode Lost Souls will air on BBC Radio 4 this Wednesday in the Afternoon Play spot.
For press releases on Doctor Who, keep an eye on the BBC Press Office http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice and C21 Media http://www.c21media.net .

if you are in the Central or Mountain Time Zones, SPACE's broadcasts
of Torchwood are going to overlap with your local CBC's broadcast of
Who. Most satelite subscribers can get multiple feeds of the CBC and
presumably digital cable customers can too. If you want to see both
Doctor Who and Torchwood, use the various CBC feeds to your
advantage. The Torchwood finale is 24 October, marking the end of the
schedule conflict.

Radio Free Skaro http://radiofreeskaro.wordpress.com
The 3 Canadians get together on Sundays for about an hour or two or
more to discuss the latest in Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Sarah Jane
in a fairly amusing manner. Temporarily doing commentary on classic
Who stories courtesy of their Randomiser.
Current episode - #99 - Alas, Poor Ruprecht. The three Canadians and
their hostage with a computer review the second half of The Monster
Of Peladon, brutalizing the story while trying to avoid saying what
horrible things they did to their Randomiser for suggesting anything
with Peladon in the title to them. Presumably recorded immediately
after #98, giving them a nice week off before ...
Sunday or Monday - #100 - Radio Free Skaro's 100th episode. To
celebrate being the 2nd known Doctor Who podcast program to reach 100
episodes, they start doing commentaries on the Series 4 episodes.
Assuming they start with Voyage Of The Damned (which CBC Canada is
skipping), this means that their commentaries will come out roughly 2
days after the CBC broadcasts of the relevant episodes. Course, they
will probably commentate on the full versions instead of the edited
CBC versions, making synching it up difficult.
Coming soon - will they review Series 2 of The Sarah Jane Adventures?
A Podcast Of Impossible Things
http://podcastofimpossiblethings.blogspot.com
Cardiff-based Doctor Who fans get together to discuss the latest

Current episode - Episode 1 of a new series of UNIT audios, starring

not as retired as assumed). The rest of the episodes have to be paid
for. Next date for regular podcasts unknown.
Cliff And Stephanie's Doctor Who Fan Podcast http://www.gspn.tv
Current episode - 13 - Review of Planet Of The Ood (free)
Next episode - 14 - Review of Daleks In Manhattan/Evolution Of The
Daleks (paid subscribers only)
Cliff and Stephanie Ravenscraft review Doctor Who episodes on a
weekly basis. Start of new installments as they review Series 4,
skipping Voyage Of The Damned for now and focusing on the
Doctor/Donna episodes.
GSPN.tv is a network of podcasts on TV shows, daily life, religion,
and other issues that interest the 3 Ravenscrafts. Doctor Who Fan
Podcast becomes one of the pay programs in the network starting with
episode 12. The existing paying audience ranked Doctor Who dead last
in their interests (annoying the hosts who want to do the show but
are living off the revenue from their podcasts). If you subscribe to
their podcasts in order to hear the new Doctor Who episodes, be sure
to alert them that you are doing this. Half the episodes expected to
be free, half paid.
Tachyon TV http://www.tachyon-tv.co.uk
Note to Tachyon guys - the brand new episode on iTunes turned out to
be 1.2, an episode made in Fall 2007. Surreal choice. Thought you'd
like to know - especially if you did not tell iTunes to post it.
